Richard’s creative approach to advocacy and dogged determination to help his clients serves him well in his role as a counsel at TTL Health Law.

Renowned in the legal community for his creative problem solving and tireless work ethic, Richard takes pride in his tenacity and his ability to find solutions that others don’t. He is zealous in defending clients and is passionate about protecting and restoring their careers, livelihoods, and reputations. This serves him well in his work and has contributed to his reputation as a leader in the legal community.

Richard is experienced at representing physicians and other health care professionals as well as lawyers, teachers, and professionals in the financial services industry charged with criminal, quasi-criminal, and regulatory offences. He has also appeared at all levels of the court system including the Supreme Court of Canada and has conducted many jury trials in his role as a criminal defence counsel.

Richard promotes a collaborative approach in his practice, working hand-in-hand with clients and colleagues to achieve results. He is always considerate but doesn’t shy away from asking difficult questions in order to get to the bottom of tough issues. Richard believes that honesty and candour lie at the heart of great lawyer-client relationships.

Richard is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and serves as the partner of Posner, Craig, Stein LLP, a prominent Toronto criminal defence law firm known in part for its work with the Innocence Project on potential wrongful conviction cases.
